Around the world, and in Kannada
Venkateswara of Tirumala is beloved in Karnataka too, and the Venkatesha Stotram sings the Lord of the seven hills who stands there. The verses come from the Brahmanda Purana, from the greatness of the Venkata mountain told by Brahma to Narada. People chant them on Saturdays, the Lord's own day, and as a daily refuge, for protection, for the clearing of worries, and out of love for Srinivasa. Known also as Balaji, he is worshipped by millions, at Tirumala and in Balaji temples on every continent. This version presents the same verses in the Kannada script, so anyone who reads Kannada can chant them with ease.
