Around the world, and in Telugu
No shrine is dearer to Telugu devotion than Tirumala, the hill of Venkateswara, and the Venkatesha Stotram sings the Lord of the seven hills who stands there. The verses come from the Brahmanda Purana, in the greatness of the Venkata mountain told by Brahma to Narada. People chant them on Saturdays, the Lord's own day, through Dhanurmasam, and at the great Brahmotsavam, and simply as a daily refuge, for protection, for the clearing of debts and worries, and out of love. Venkateswara, known also as Balaji and Srinivasa, is worshipped by millions, at Tirumala and in Balaji temples on every continent. This version sets the same verses in Telugu script, so you can read and chant them in the letters you know best.
